The Dry Creek Area

The Dry Creek Valley offers a little bit of everything you could possibly wish for on a vacation get-away.

You’ll be amazed at the majesty of this valley and the flora that abounds. You’ll be stunned when you make a turn in the road to find a Redwood grove, another turn and find majestic oaks, then palm trees and cactus.

The wineries are unparalleled and yet the outdoor lover will not be disappointed as the area provides everything from hiking & biking, river & lake boating, hot air ballooning to combing the nearby Pacific Ocean beaches. Beyond the outdoor activities and World Class wineries, there are nearly endless shopping options and 5-star restaurants to experience. Whether you have come for an active stay or one to relax, you will not be let down. In many ways the city of Healdsburg feels more like a quaint, prevailing village. Perhaps that is why Healdsburg is now being recognized as “The Hamptons of the West Coast”.

Listed below are a few links to some of our favorite local businesses. You will also find a more extensive list of resources for your convenience during your stay at Vineyard Haven.

Wineries Along Dry Creek Road

Less than a mile from Vineyard Haven toward the city of Healdsburg you will find Seghesio Winery, an award winning winery, which has been growing grapes in Sonoma since 1895. Head North on Dry Creek Road and you will run into Yoakim Bridge Vineyards & Winery, one our personal favorites. David and Virginia are two of the most hospitable winemakers you will ever meet! Stop into Dutcher Crossing Winery for a picnic under their trellis. Drink in their wines along with the magnificent view of the panoramic vineyards and hillside beauty of Dry Creek. If you are looking for a more stately, formal winery, continue on to spectacular Ferrari Carano where you will enjoy the beauty of English gardens and the glorious view of gently sloping, wooded hills and estate vineyards.
